  • TTC Directions:
    If you are in the downtown area, take the subway to Osgoode station. Go above ground (make sure you have a transfer from where you paid your fare) and take the Queen 501 streetcar WEST. Get off at the Queensway and Parkside intesection and walk south towards the lakeshore. You should see the Sunnyside Pavilion/Sunnyside Park. If you are coming from anyplace other than the downtown area(eg. Mississauga, Vaughn, Thornhill, Richmond Hill, Markham, North York, Scarborough), please go to Keele Station and take the 80 streetcar south to Lakeshore Blvd.

  • DRIVING Directions:
    If you are coming down the DVP, get onto the gardiner and eventually onto the Lakeshore Blvd. You can only get to the Pavilion going east on Lakeshore. Once you see the pavilion on your left (should be after Jameson), try to get onto the other side of Lakeshore if you are west. The Sunnyside Pavilion is located at 1755 Lakeshore Blvd. W. It is a big white building with a large swimming pool and is located by Sunnyside Park, just west of the Boulevard Club and the Palais Royale.

Laurel Creek Conservation Area (Waterloo)
  • FROM the 401, Exit at Highway 8 West
    Follow #8 West to Highway 86 North exit
    Take 86 North to Northfield Drive.
    Exit at Northfield and turn right onto Northfield
    Follow Northfield through 2 stoplights, past Tim Hortons, through the next stoplight and look to the right for the Waterloo Region Conservation sign.
    Turn right on to Westmount Road and go 200 metres looking for the Park entrance on the Left.

  • Notes:
    Laurel Creek Conservation Area Day passes are currently $3.75 per person ($2 for paddlers)
    Follow the signs to Team Parking.

Stratford Festival (Stratford)
    There is no parking available at the race site. A shuttle service will be available from 8 a.m. until 7 pm on Sept. 13 for participants and spectators. The shuttle will run every 15 minutes from the Ontario St. parking lot of FAG. The FAG lot is located at 801 Ontario Street just past Zehrs.

  • Directions to parking lot (at Zhers):
    Hwy. 401 west to interchange #278 at Kitchener. Follow Hwy 8 west through Kitchener, then join Hwy 7/8 west to Stratford. Once in Stratford, Hwy 7/8 becomes Ontario Street upon reaching the city limits. The parking lot is on the left hand side at 801 Ontario Street. Please refer to the map:

Pickering Race Site - Bruce Handscomb Park
    There will be absolutely NO PARKING within the residential area surrounding the race site. This area will be police patrolled and cars found disobeying this request will be tagged and towed. Please park at the GO Station.

  • Directions to GO Station:
    - Take 401, exit at Whites Road (South)
    - Immediatly after you get off the highway, turn left on Bayly Street
    - Drive along Bayly. Once you pass Liverpool Road, the Go station is on your left.
    - Park at the GO station and take the free shuttle (7:00am to 7:00pm) to Bruce Handscomb park.

    • If you do not want to wait for a shuttle or if the shuttle is temporarily full, you can take a cab to Bruce Handscomb park ($7 flat rate with Pick 'n' Go Taxi company) or just walk (about 15 mins)
    • The GO station is located approximately 3 blocks east and one block north of the race site.

  • Directions to Bruce Handscomb Park (no parking, drop off only):
    - Take 401, exit at Whites Road (South)
    - Immediatly after you get off the highway, turn left on Bayly Street
    - Drive along Bayly, take a RIGHT on West Shore Blvd
    - LEFT on Oklahoma Dr.
    - LEFT on Breezy Dr.
    - The park should be right infront of you. Drop off people and/or equipment at the park entrance.
Pickering Practice Site - Frenchman's Bay
  • There is no exit for Liverpool Road from Highway #401.
  • The nearest exits are Whites Road (to the west) and Brock Road (to the east)
  • Drive along Bayly Street to Liverpool Road. Drive south down Liverpool Road
  • Turn right onto Wharf Street
  • Turn immediately left into the Pickering East Shore Marina parking lot where you will observe 'Genco'
  • Parking is unmarked within the marina parking lot
  • Walk west toward the east shore dock. There you will find the dragon boats and equipment
